Apply for a loan if youre one of the following:

  • a refugee
  • you have humanitarian protection
  • a dependant of a refugee or someone with humanitarian protection

You must be over 18 to use this service.

Before you apply, check what you can use the loan for and how much you can borrow.

What youll need

Make sure you have your:

  • biometric residence permit (BRP)
  • National Insurance number
  • Home Office reference number - you can find this on your asylum application letter
  • bank account or building society details

If youre making a joint application with your partner, youll also need their BRP details and National Insurance number.
