UK Visas and Immigration guidance on how staff should consider applications in the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) category of the PBS.

It is based on the Immigration Rules part 6A, paragraphs 245D to 245DF and Immigration Rules appendix A. It is for those investing in the UK by setting up or taking over, and being actively involved in the running of, one or more businesses in the UK.

This category is now closed to new applicants.

  1. Guidance updated to remove some information on COVID-19 concessions.

  2. The guidance has been updated to reflect changes to the settlement requirements for applicants who successfully extended under the concession for individuals whose business had been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes have also been made to reflect that the route is now closed for new applicants including where they previously held leave in the Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) route.
