Section 6A approved and under consideration schools contains details of:
academies and free schools that have approval
free schools that do not yet have approval under the academies and free school presumption section of the Education and Inspections Act 2006
It includes the:
name of the local authority
proposed location of the school at the time of approval
phase of education
proposed opening date at the time of approval (which can change)

Added a primary school proposal from Warwickshire County Council to Local authorities seeking proposers.
Added a primary school proposal from Peterborough City Council to 'Local authorities seeking proposers' and removed a primary project in Didcot, Oxfordshire the competition closed on 25 October. Added a primary project in Didcot, Oxfordshire to 'Section 6a approved and under consideration spreadsheet'.

Sixteen schools on the Section 6A approved and under consideration spreadsheet have recently opened. We have edited their entries and updated their names. We have also added Warfield All Saints, which is now under consideration. We have taken the Warfield project off of the local authorities seeking proposers spreadsheet, where we have also added a project in Bath and North East Somerset.
Added to the 'Schools under consideration' list of the 'Section 6a approved and under consideration' spreadsheet: a special secondary school in Warfield (Bracknell Forest). Removed from the 'Local authorities seeking proposers' spreadsheet and added to 'Schools under consideration': a primary school in Chester (Cheshire West and Chester), an all-through special school in Romford (Havering), a first school at Foxlydiate (Worcestershire) and a primary school in Hartland Village (Hampshire). Moved from 'Schools under consideration' to 'Schools approved': primary schools in Burleyfields (Staffordshire) and Weston Super Mare (North Somerset).
On Local authorities seeking proposers', 2 primary projects have been removed: St Johns Grange in Lichfield (Staffordshire) and Henley Gate in Ipswich (Suffolk). Foxlydiate first school, Redditch (Worcestershire) and Hartland Village primary project, Fleet (Hampshire) have been added.
