Overview

We attend a range of events to meet customers and give advice and guidance on planting woodland. We also hold face-to-face and online training events and webinars on specific grant schemes and areas of forestry, that we encourage people to sign up to in advance.

We update this page regularly with new events.

Forestry Facing the Future: a 50-year horizon scan (online series)

The Forestry Commission and the Institute of Chartered Foresters are hosting a series of webinars to examine the threats and opportunities faced by our forests and the forestry sector.

After a sell-out event last year, Englands largest one day deer conference returns with a range of speakers from across the land management and research sectors. Topics covered will include bovine TB, the history of deer in the UK and the latest in technology for deer management.

The Forestry Commission and Forest for Cornwall invite you to Delivering your EWCO Project. This workshop will provide everything you need to know to deliver your England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO) project, in accordance with the grant offer.

Woodland Condition Assessment webinar

Date: 8 October (online)

Join the Forestry Commission, Natural England, Sylva Foundation and Field Studies Council (FSC) to learn more about Woodland Condition Assessment (WCA). The webinar will run through the WCA process, how its used in the statutory biodiversity metric and provide an overview of the new WCA app, guides and training. Book this online event via Eventbrite. National Forestry Conference 2024

Date: 9 October

The annual Forestry Conference, organised by the CLA, Forestry Commission and Grown in Britain, is back for a 17th year. The 2024 focus is Products, People and Possibilities,taking a practical and informed look at a range of market opportunities, and will feature a packed programme of sessions and talks.
