The honours system rewards outstanding achievement by individuals in their field of expertise.

The Science, Technology and Research Honours Committee considers nominations from the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics; social, political and economic sciences; and research in all areas, including the arts and humanities and medicine.

When to nominate

Nominations for honours can be submitted at any time.

To be considered for the New Year round, nominations must be received by the beginning of April. For the
