An eVisa is an online record of your immigration status. You access it using a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account.

Use this service to tell UKVI if any of the following details are wrong on your eVisa:

  • name
  • sponsor reference
  • photo
  • National Insurance number
  • visa restrictions - these say what you can and cannot do in the UK
  • immigration status
  • valid until date

You can also use this service if UKVI set up your account for you, but used an email address or phone number youve never had access to.

Theres a different way to update your UKVI account if youve changed your details. For example you can update your name, email address, phone number or passport details.

Start now

Before you start

Youll need to give:

  • your full name, date of birth and nationality as they appear on your eVisa

  • passport number
  • biometric residence permit (BRP) number
  • global web form (GWF) number from your visa application
  • unique application number (UAN) from your visa application
  • UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) customer number

What happens next

UKVI will contact you within 10 working days to either:

  • confirm that theyve corrected the details
  • ask you for more information
