We have updated the entry for Viking Sky in the 'Investigations into accidents involving UK registered vessels and/or UK citizens that, by agreement, are being led by other administrations', to reflect the publication of the accident report by the Norwegian Safety Investigation Authority (NSIA). Our current investigations table has been updated to list our latest deployment, to the foundering of UK registered stern trawler Opportune (LK209) in the North Sea, approximately 36 miles east of Lerwick in Shetland on 24 March 2024. The crew were rescued from the vessels liferaft uninjured.

The grounding and loss of fishing vessel Sustain at Loch Broom, Scotland in November and last week, the man overboard, presumed deceased, from fishing vessel Amadeus in the German Bight are under investigation. A preliminary assessment also started last week into the fatal man overboard from the 8.18m fishing vessel Nista off Luing, Scotland.
