Your key responsibilities will include:
- deploying to accident sites as part of a team to support or lead investigations
- interviewing witnesses and collecting a wide variety of evidence
- completing detailed analysis in order to identify safety issues and draft recommendations
- writing and contributing to investigation reports, safety bulletins and safety digests
- presenting MAIB reports at inquests and fatal accident inquiries
- providing in-house marine engineering/naval architect (as applicable) expertise
- representing the MAIB at industry working groups and other safety fora
You must be prepared to travel throughout the UK (for which you will need a full UK driving licence) as well as overseas.
