Notice: King Charles III England Coast Path from Silecroft to Silverdale: Natural England's proposals

On 8 January 2020, Natural England submitted a collection of reports to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs setting out the proposals for improved access to the coast between Silecroft and Silverdale (SCS).

The opportunity to comment closed at midnight on Wednesday, 4 March 2020. You can no longer make a representation or objection on proposals.

All representations and objections will be considered before the Secretary of State makes a final decision about the reports.

You can:

  • read the overview report which includes background information to help you understand the proposals and maps
  • use the index map to find the relevant report for the length of coast you are interested in
  • open the corresponding report for more information

Outcome

On 12 November 2020, the Secretary of State approved the proposals for length SCS1.

On 20 October 2022, the Secretary of State approved the proposals for lengths SCS2, SCS3 and SCS4.

On 16 July 2024, the Secretary of State approved the proposals for length SCS6.
