Guidance: Opting out of the NHS population screening programmes

This publication sets out how members of the public can opt out of screening so they will no longer get invitations. It covers the NHS screening programmes for:

  • abdominal aortic aneurysm screening
  • bowel cancer
  • breast screening
  • cervical screening
  • diabetic eye screening

This publication was previously published by Public Health England, which closed on 30 September 2021.
