Pay the LPA application fee by card

The quickest way to pay the lasting power of attorney (LPA) application fee is using a credit or debit card.

If youre making an LPA online

If youre using the Make a lasting power of attorney online service, you can pay by card as part of that service.

If youre making an LPA using a paper form (LP1F or LP1H)

On Section 14: Application fee, tick Card and enter your phone number, preferably a mobile number. Do not put your card or bank account details on the form.

If you give us a mobile number, OPG will send you a text message with a unique reference number and a link to the secure website for online payment.

Youll need to enter the reference number, then use a credit or debit card to pay the fee.

If you do not give us a mobile number, we will send you a letter with your unique reference number and a web address where you can pay the fee online.
