This guidance is for schools, local authorities and governing bodies responsible for end of KS2 assessment, including KS2 tests.
The arrangements apply to maintained schools, maintained special schools, academies, free schools, Ministry of Defence (MoD) schools and participating independent schools with pupils in KS2.

Reverted to previous version, which was live until 2pm on 31 January 2024, as the last change was made in error. To confirm, the correct date on which the 'Submit teacher assessment data' form opens is Monday 20 May.
Date correction in section 3.2: 'Submit teacher assessment form' available on the Primary Assessment Gateway from Monday 13 May - previously stated Monday 20 May.
Clarified that any new pupils who arrive in school after the Friday 8 March pupil registration deadline must still be added to pupil registration, up to Thursday 23 May.
