This ad hoc release is provided in addition to the stock of properties official statistics release published in May 2023. Stock of properties provided statistics for the 2017 rating list at 31 March 2023. This ad hoc release provides consistent statistics for the 2023 rating list at 1 April 2023.
Included in this release is the total number of properties and rateable value for each local authority in England and Wales at 1 April 2023. The statistics are broken down by sector and rateable value band.
