Aimed at lenders, this guide tells you about the approval of standard forms of legal charge and deeds of variation, priority and postponement used by lending institutions. It applies only to deeds that will be registered or noted under the Land Registration Act 2002.

Section 4 has been amended to emphasise the potential effect of a breach of the undertaking on form ACD to inform us when a change is made to an approved form of charge or mortgage conditions.
Sections 4 and 5 have been amended to explain that when any change to separately held but incorporated mortgage conditions is made, reapproval of the charge must be sought using form ACD.
Section 6 has been amended to clarify that the execution clause of an approved form of charge does not form part of the approval.

A minor update has been made in section 3 to change 'business days' to 'working days'.
